MOODY'S RELEASES NEW ANALYTICS AND SECURITY MASTER FUNCTIONALITY

Moody's Analytics today announced further expansion of the intraday and end-of-day valuation capabilities of Moody's Credit Quotes (MCQ) with the release of a CDS calculator and UIN browser. Available in Excel and in a user-friendly graphical interface, the new CDS calculation engine is made available to all Moody's Credit Quotes users.
 
MCQ's newest release also includes expanded UIN (pronounced "win") security master capabilities, for browsing a company's traded Credit Default Swaps, Loan Credit Default Swaps and Bonds. This detailed view into a company's hierarchy helps provide transparency for front, middle and back office.

The CDS pricer is extremely fast and significantly simplifies the burden of pricing a portfolio and negotiating a price when executing a trade; prices for CDS, LCDS, Index and Tranches are calculated almost instantaneously as quotes are being received. The UIN browser on the other hand helps all our users understand which CDSs trade for each issuer and helps eliminate confusion between the traders as well as middle and back office users that book, price and reconcile the trades," said Yiannis Tsiounis, CEO of Moody's Credit Quotes.
 
Starting in 2007 with the launch of the Moody's CreditValues suite of valuation tools, Moody's has delivered an array of valuation products to the fixed income market including Discounted Cashflow Valuations (model-based valuation for structured finance), Moody's CreditEvaluations (evaluated pricing for corporate and municipal bonds), and Moody's Credit Quotes (observed pricing and aggregate pricing for most major asset classes, including individual name CDS, indices, tranches, and cash bonds).
 
Moody's Credit Quotes provides price discovery tools, end-of-day pricing services and the UIN security master database for a wide range of fixed income securities, supplying the market with sophisticated tools that help assess the prices of complex securities with advanced parsing technology.
